Sup guys,

So Shutter Island is…… Well….. Perplexing….. Not so much in the do I understand it kind of way, as much as is this an great movie or just an average one. Now, logic would dictate that if you have to debate it, then it probably wasn’t. Though, in this case I wouldn’t be so sure. The acting is better than average which is really what is needed in a movie like this,  as there’s no “action” to pass it along.

It does drag,  quite a bit, in the beginning. It just feels like it takes forever to get anywhere, but once you do it flies by, which helps due to its longer than average run time.  There is a twist, and it catches most off-guard. I heard some grumblings coming out of the theater, that it wasn’t what they wanted in a movie, but I think they just expected more high pace thriller, and mystery-suspense. It was definitely a Scorsese flick.

Overall,  you don’t really need to see it in the theatres, you wont lose anything by watching it at home with the lights off, un-less mystery is really your bag. But it is worth the price of admission in my book, and you shouldn’t be upset for seeing it.
