ok, so its been a long time coming but I finally got it done. most of these have been revised, but some are old enough that it wouldn't matter.

"the Box" - don't bother, (not that you could now anyway.) And I'm sorry for those of you that chose it over other titles- especially if my opinion could have persuaded you otherwise. The movie starts out well enough, and is able to carry your attention through about 85% of the movie; you may not be enthralled, but you want to know where everything is going. HOWEVER, the last fifteen minutes of the movie are terrible- absolutely awful, and will leave you as pissed as I was to suffer through the movie just to be let down so awfully. If you rent it, try not to break it- it needs to be returned.

"Paranormal activity" - I enjoyed it, but I know others didn't. Some have compared it to "the blair witch project" but I didn't get the relation, other than both being low-budget, first person P.O.V-style, independent films. The story here get's revealed pretty quick, and you really should know the type of movie your going to see from the commercials. All told, I enjoyed the movie, it was well acted, the plot went quick enough, but not too fast as to keep you from getting into the film, and as not seen in "the blair witch" there is plenty of visible activity, and its not too far fetched. money is definitely well spent on this one.

"2012" This one caught me off-guard, here I was expecting the standard lots of explosions, but big let down type movie, but what I got was- lots of explosions and a decent enough movie. Really this flick isn't going to change your life, but it will definitely entertain you. If it was still in theaters, it'd be well worth paying for, but for now, definitely worth seeing on the small screen.

"new moon" Unfortunately, while on vacation, my sisters dragged me to this, the most boring of boring movies. Now I know most chicks out there will say this was a great movie, but in all honesty I can't even begin to say that. The movie drags on, and on, and on, forever. No action, no break in the drudgery, no desire to give any sane person any reason to see this.

" Boondock saints 2 I wasn't disappointed in this film; I'm so thankful for that. There was definitely the possibility of it, going to the theaters to see the sequel to one of my favorite cult films, and having the urge to hang myself from the projector. I should have known it wouldn't be a sell out disappointment when it was only released in select theaters. Without revealing too much of the film in this visit to the brothers world- it's eight years later and the two are found living with their father in their native land when some gangster type fellas kill a priest to draw them back. To quote the movie "unfortunately it worked." The movie was very reminiscent of the first with the type of comedy and action. There was a bit more blatant humor the replacement immigrant aid is a touch over the top- but all together worth well more than the cost admission.

And more!

So here's the deal. We are planning an entire revamp to the website using the programs Wordpress and Comicpress. For those of you who aren't familiar with what the benefits of that move would be, take a look at our advertisement partner over at Dueling Analogs. It makes for a very clean and professional looking page in addition to adding great tools for the website admin like a archive system and several automatic features. In addition to the revamp, we will finally be advertising with Blind Ferret Media, those guys who handle Ctrl+Alt+Del, VGCats and others.

Keep an eye out for changes in the next couple months or sooner!

What about the normal people?
Tuesday 08 December 2009 - 20:22:41

I hope the new comic finds favor with you! Over the past week I've beaten Assassin's Creed 2 and COD Modern Warfare 2 and both are grade A, top tier experiences in their respective genres. Of course when you need Ezio to climb up to a roof and he decides to jump backward and fall 20 stories to his death, it gets a bit annoying. Other than that, it's an amazing title as is CODMW2 and for those of you with the proper game systems, I would recommend both with ferocity.

I hope everyone is having a great holiday season so far. Looking forward to Christmas yet? I've noticed almost all meaning has been sucked out of this holiday in exchange for money, marketing, and I don't know, not hurting anyone's feelings if they don't believe in God? Who knows. I don't really care about people's beliefs and/or feelings on either side of it, but what corporate America has done to belittle EVERY single special day we have to share together is simply sad.

That being said, I can't wait to see what awesome material possessions I get this year.

Long story short
Monday 07 December 2009 - 03:53:16

Hey guys, sorry about the lack of posts recently, I was on an extended vacation for the holiday season, and people let me tell you, I was forced to suffer through a dial up connection. Who the hell still uses dial up? (answer: my father) so to make a long story short, I only used the internet for the most basic of needs, but I do have several movie reviews to throw up here- the box, paranormal activity, boondock saints 2, the new moon, and 2012 are all included. though i may make an abridged review to just get them in here and not take up too much main page space.
