Swaptrick: Comics for the nerds

R.I.P.

Rest in peace Billy Mays. You made me almost want to buy stuff sometimes. Now all I have left is the ShamWow guy and he's nowhere near as entertaining to watch. Atleast now you're making angels turn down the volume on their TV's so they don't feel like they're being made to purchase something by a drill instructor.

transformers 2
Saturday 27 June 2009 - 15:07:35

OK guys, well I got out to see the long awaited "Transformers2," and there were some awesome parts that made the wait worth it. 1) OPTIMUS IS NO LONGER A BITCH!!! For those of us who were transformer fans from back in the day, we were left with a wtf moment when Megatron walks all over Optimus in the first installment, but not this time around. This time Optimus becomes the bad-ass he's supposed to be and handles his business. 2) Most excellent slow motion of Megan Fox, I had to comment during the movie of the gorgeous amount of booby giggle that we get, plus the outstanding addition of Isabel Lucas these leading ladies will fill any man's, or woman's, spank-bank. 3) Much more action, by a large margin, way more fighting, in a much more graphic manner. To give you an idea- in one of the scenes, Optimus gives us the phrase "gimmie your face" it rocked pretty hard. 4) It left an opening for a continuation of the story, and it was done in a fashion that was reminiscent of the old school Megatron/Starscream.

On the flip, the movie does unfortunately take the pill of most sequels, where it replaces substance with blowing stuff up and sexual tension; (Although, really it's not a that bad, depending on how you look at it.) As well as the fact of, when they pull the "uber" up-close scenes, it makes it difficult to follow some of the action, some of the robots are portrayed too "cartoony," and for some reason they decided to just drop in random elements of mysticism that smack of trying too hard.

All in all, not a bad sequel, a pretty good movie, and most importantly, not a disgrace to memories of my youth. But still if you have the choice "The Hangover" is the better choice.

Hangover

So if you haven't seen Hangover yet, I highly recommend you put the PS3 remote down and get to your local theater. The movie is outstanding, and not in just the slap-stick, way too gross kind of way. (Well, yes it has that, but much more as well.) The movie is an instant classic, and will be purchased by me as soon as available, as I'm sure the bonus features will be, as is the movie, out-fucking standing....

We're not DEAD!
Monday 22 June 2009 - 02:26:07

Whew! We're not DEAD!

Alright so there's a new comic up, first in a 2 part series.

I have to give both thumbs up to Red Faction so far, it's been an entertaining experience. I only have one or two thoughts on what I "wish they had done", which is allow you to recruit colonists at your main base to form as a squad. Mars colonists will take up arms with you once you've begun an offensive, but why in God's name would anyone really want to initiate a full scale assault on a gigantic enemy base by themselves, especially as their movement gains more ground and becomes more organized? Eh, I'll live with it.

Also for those of you who are local, you need to check out APM Videogame Lounge on Garden Street in Titusville, Florida. In the future we will be picking back up with our tournaments that we had planned in the past, and holding them here! Swaptrick game tournaments are born again!

Anyway, I do apologize for the tardiness of our comic and updates, I have literally been doing nothing but working every day of the week since I moved into this place. Thanks for the understanding!
